Receiving your house guests is not only applicable in your living room where the comfortable and big couch lies, where the television is positioned, where the CDs and the books are lying around as well as the photo albums that contain the treasured memories of the years that went by. To go away from the usual setting, entertaining your visitors can also be done in the comforts of your patios or decks if you have one.

However, not because it is mentioned that patios as well as decks are equally ideal to keep your guests comfortable, you would just instantly send them to your patio or your deck without even making sure that it is a conducive place to stay in. In any way as possible, make your receiving area a place that would be both memorable and homey for your surprise guests.

Accessorize with furniture. Just like part of your house, go an extra mile and put pieces of furniture in your patios or decks. There is a wide variety of patio furniture that can be found in stores. There are affordable and definitely there are expensive ones as well. Just get those which can be beneficial for you and your guests. Patio furniture can make your guests feel like they are in their own houses only with a different setting. If you have extra bucks in your pocket, water fountains are great addition to fully accessorize the whole place. They are good to look at and very comfortable for the feeling. But if you are short of budget as well, then water fountains are not necessary. Of course, don not forget your couch or a nice and comfy chair to sit and a table.

Forms of entertainment. To keep your guests comfortable and entertained, fill your patios and decks not only with patio furniture but with gadgets, books and appliances as well. Television is nice however, they may not be ideal because patios and decks are open so the possibility of it being stolen or damaged is big. Reading materials such as magazines in every genre and topic, novels courtesy of foreign and local writers, a stack of photo albums, and even board games like scrabble, chess, monopoly and the likes can do well so your guests will not be bored. Newspapers are also welcome. Installed speakers do sound great only if you are willing to take the risk.

Appliances for comfort. Although patios and decks are situated outside of the house, air is fresh. However, there are instances when whether is unpredictable. When the air turns from comfortable to hot, air conditioning unit or electric fans would come in handy. You don?t want your guests to sweat endlessly because of feeling uncomfortable.

We receive our guests in the comforts of our homes, yet it should not always be in the premise of the living. Patios and decks are equally ideal just to break from the used-to-bes. As long as they have everything your guests needs to feel comfortable and at home, then there would be no problem with that.
